ABOUT FRANZI:
Franzi is a multimedia artist and researcher, combining movement, sound and visuals. With a background as a classically trained musician, she explores via practice as research the relationships between sounds, shapes (oral and bodily, internal and aesthetic), human emotions, the felt-sense, authentic movement, documentation, and screen technology. Franzi is currently undertaking a practice-based PhD at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance in London, which she combines with a lecturer post in the faculty of Music Pedagogy at the University of Potsdam.
Franzi enjoys working collaboratively and across disciplines and her work was mainly presented in the UK and in Germany. Her recent work with Dance artist Serena Ruth will be shown in June at the Contemporary Dance Festival Resolution in London. She is also a founding member of the award-winning interdisciplinary Collective Magnetize and is excited about touring their work Unearth in Ireland in July 2022.
She is currently cultivating her practice voice x tension and the collaborative practice Sounding Sensations with Dance artist Serena Ruth. More information can be found soon on the practice page and on the Blog.
